All of our coaching uses psychological best practice and proven/validated tools to target strategic business needs. We help staff to understand their motivations, values and beliefs, how these govern their behaviour and how this in turn affects their peers, staff and leaders.

We take care to match each leader to a coach with whom they can work productively. We combine empathy and understanding with challenge and stretch. In addition to one-to-one coaching we also provide team and organisational coaching. See below for more details.

Development coaching goes beyond skills and performance coaching; it is about the development and growth of the whole person.

We tailor our development coaching to the specific individual, helping them to look at their behaviours and responses to the working environment from all perspectives. We help them to recognise and understand their thoughts and behaviours and how these impact on the teams in which they work. We work closely with the individual to seek out and implement solutions through adapting behaviours and making practical changes in the workplace.

We work with individuals to develop an action plan that will increase constructive behaviours, improve performance and engagement and promote a culture of accountability and empowerment.

How can we become more effective in dealing with the complexities of the systems in which we operate? With systemic coaching, we help clients to see and understand human relationship dynamics from three perspectives:

1. Face to face – interactions of the individual with key people
2. Internal – the underlying beliefs and values of the individual
3. External – the world around the individual; their organisation and customers.

Systemic coaching looks at all three variables - at how they interact or can get in the way – considers which aspects are dysfunctional or unhealthy and allows for productive change to occur.

Where appropriate, we combine one-to-one coaching with whole team coaching in order to improve the performance of both the individual and the team. Typical applications include:

• building cohesion in a newly formed team
• establishing a working understanding of the best way to work together
• facilitating a process to engage and establish a new team
• to take multiple perspectives as a team and harness diversity

We use tools such as Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation - Behaviour (FIRO-B), that provides a simple yet powerful framework for helping groups of people work better with each other.
